The problem

Why capable businesses walk away from federal work

The work is steady, the budgets are real, and small businesses are specifically invited in through set-asides. And still, most never bid. Here's what stops them.

01

The paperwork is brutal

Section L tells you how to write it. Section M tells you how they score it. Miss one instruction and you're tossed out before anyone reads your price.

02

The clock is unforgiving

Solicitations open and close fast, often with amendments midway. Miss the format or the deadline and months of opportunity vanish in an afternoon.

03

One wrong word is costly

A federal offer is certified. Guess at a clause or a number and you're not just rejected — you can land in real trouble for it.

So the work goes to whoever already speaks the language.
We make you one of them.

How it works

Our promise

What we won't promise — and what we will

We will never
  • Guarantee you'll win — no one honest can promise a federal award.
  • Inflate a win-rate on a slide to impress you.
  • Write a single word in your bid that isn't true.
  • Tie our fee to a cut of your contract.
We always will
  • Tell you plainly when an opportunity isn't worth bidding.
  • Hand you a package that's roughly 90% done.
  • Price the work fixed, and show it upfront.
  • Keep you in control of every certification you sign.

Straight answers

The questions everyone actually asks

Can you guarantee we'll win the contract?
No — and anyone who guarantees a federal award is either misleading you or breaking the rules. What we guarantee is a bid that's compliant, competitive, and in on time. The award decision belongs to the government.
Do you submit the bid for us?
No. You submit it, because you're the one certifying it as true and signing it. We get it to the point where that final step is quick and confident — usually about thirty minutes of your time.
Do we need to be registered on SAM.gov?
To actually win federal work, yes — and we'll point you to the registration if you're not set up. But you don't need it to get a free fit-check, so there's no barrier to finding out whether an opportunity is worth chasing.
Is your fee a percentage of the contract?
Never. Federal rules restrict contingent fees paid to secure a contract, and we wouldn't work that way regardless. You pay a fixed price for the work itself — win or lose.
Can you really do this without being inside our company?
Yes. The solicitation, the wage data, and the market pricing are all public — that's the research we do. The private parts (your price, your references, your signature) are exactly the parts we hand back for you to complete. That division isn't a limitation; it's the law, and it's what keeps your bid honest.
How long does it take to build a package?
It depends on the solicitation, but most straightforward small-business bids come together in a few business days. The real constraint is the government's deadline — the earlier you send us the opportunity, the more room we have to do it well. Tight deadline? Tell us and we'll be honest about whether it's still doable.
What do you need from us to get started?
To begin, just the SAM.gov link or solicitation number. To finish, we'll need your real pricing inputs, your past-performance details, and any certifications you hold — the parts only you can provide. We tell you exactly what's needed and when, so nothing is a surprise.
We've never bid on federal work before — is this for us?
Especially you. First-time and small businesses are exactly who we built BidBridge for. We handle the unfamiliar, fiddly middle and explain every step in plain English, so your first bid feels far less daunting than going it alone.
What are set-asides, and do we qualify?
Set-asides reserve certain contracts for specific kinds of small business — for example small-business, WOSB (woman-owned), SDVOSB (service-disabled veteran-owned), 8(a), and HUBZone. Qualifying can put you in a much smaller, less crowded field. As part of a fit-check we'll flag which set-asides an opportunity uses and point you toward certifications worth pursuing.
What happens if we don't win?
You pay for the work, not the outcome — federal rules restrict contingent (win-based) fees, and we'd never tie our fee to your award anyway. What you keep is real: a compliant package, a defensible price model, and reusable past-performance and write-ups that make your next bid faster and stronger.
Is our information kept confidential?
Yes. Your pricing, references, and business details are handled in confidence and used only to prepare your bid. We work from public solicitation and market data; the private inputs stay yours.
How and when do we pay?
The fit-check is free. Once you decide to proceed, we agree a fixed fee in writing before any work begins — so you always know the number up front. No open-ended invoices, no surprises, never a percentage of the contract.
Who we are

Real people, not a portal

BidBridge is founder-led, so you get senior attention on every package — never a ticket number. Between us we bring over 40 years of combined experience across federal contracting, proposal development, and small-business operations: turning dense government solicitations into bids that small firms can actually win.

We deliberately serve the businesses the big consultancies overlook — the first-time bidder, the small services firm, the owner who knows they could do the work if the paperwork didn't stand in the way.
